West Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) H.O.M.E Program

On Wednesday July 11, 2018 Doreen Graves, Liaison for the West Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) presented the Mayor of Mason, Gwendolyn L. Kilpatrick, and the Town of Mason with a check in the amount of $375,000.00. The amount represents the Town’s recently approved allotment of funds for THDA’s H.O.M.E Program. The purpose of the grant will be to allow Mason residents to rehab or reconstruct existing homes in order to bring them in compliance with prevalent municipal, county, and state building codes. In the near future, the Town will host community-wide forums to educate the Town’s residents on various requirements of the H.O.M.E. Program.
“This is certainly a great day for the Town of Mason,” said Mayor Kilpatrick. “One of the great needs of our community is to rehabilitate and revive the Town’s housing stock. We appreciate the cooperation an assistance we received from THDA and look forward to building a long-term partnership as we continue to “MOVE MASON FORWARD!”
